Your Data Never Leaves the EU

Snowflake has an EU region. BigQuery has an EU region. Every US cloud product has an EU region. The difference is their legal - and perhaps, moral?- obligations are still in the US. The "EU region" is a checkbox.

We are not a US product with an EU checkbox

rawquery is a European company, built by Europeans, running on European infrastructure. The server is in Germany. The data is on that server. There is no "analytics data" that quietly ends up in Google's Virginia Server.

When your DPO asks "where does our data go?", the answer is: Frankfurt, Germany. That's it. No data flow diagram with twelve boxes and dotted lines to US regions you've never heard of.

Data sovereignty is where the machine is; our machines all run in Europe.

Raw Takes Short reads on things we built and why they matter (to us). No thought leadership.
